More than 490k International Students are currently studying in China, making it an emerging hub of Overseas Education. Nearly 80% of foreign students in China are from Asia or the Middle East.
Clinical Medicine, Engineering and Economics are the top courses in which most International Students enroll in. The Peking University in Beijing hosts the largest number of Overseas Students in China. Tsinghua University also serves more than 2,700 foreign students.
However, a census in 2019 revealed that 90% of Chinese students return back to China after obtaining their higher education from abroad. The reason for this is yet to be studied about.
